Turkish Natural Language Processing Competition

About the Competition

Turkish Natural Language Processing Competition is organized in line with the strategic priority “Supporting Research, Entrepreneurship and Innovation” determined within the scope of the 2021-2025 National Artificial Intelligence Strategy and within the framework of the measure “A competition and support program will be established to create at least one global brand in the field of Turkish natural language processing.” The main goal of the competition is to create at least one global enterprise in the field of Turkish Natural Language Processing (TDDİ) through projects to be developed with public data for public needs.

The competition aims to encourage the development of user-friendly and high-performance open source libraries and datasets for processing Turkish texts. In this way, it is aimed to contribute to technological development in strategic sectors, increase national awareness in the field of TDDİ, create an ecosystem that can meet the specific needs of institutions and support data sharing processes.

The competition consists of two categories.
  • Free Category
  • Scenario Category (Productive AI Supported Autonomous Call Center Scenarios)

All primary, secondary, high school (including Open Education) and university students (including Bachelor's, Associate's, Master's, Doctorate and Open Education) and graduates studying in Turkey and abroad can participate in the competition. Participation in the competition can be as an individual or as a team. Teams can consist of maximum 5 participants.

The evaluation stages of the competition are as follows;
  • Technical Qualification Exam
  • Preliminary Evaluation Presentation
  • Final
 Templates for the reports to be prepared by the competitors will be announced on the TEKNOFEST website soon.

Internship opportunities in Turkey's technology institutions will be provided.

GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT PROGRAMS FOR INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS
Turkey under the Technology Team, conducted by the Foundation for the National Team Program Support Technology Teams are provided with incentives through orientation and support programs for international competitions.
