About the Competition
Technologies for the Benefit of Humanity Competition - Middle School Level; aims to take the curiosity and sense of discovery gained in primary school to the next level, enabling students to establish a more conscious, productive and creative relationship with technology. It also serves as a bridge to more advanced scientific and technological projects to be carried out in middle school.
Within the scope of the competition, students analyze environmental, social, and health-related problems encountered in daily life and develop innovative, applicable, and sustainable solutions to these problems. Students are encouraged to conduct research, carry out observations and experiments, work in teams, and effectively communicate their projects.
The TEKNOFEST Middle School Science and Discovery Competition will be held in three separate categories.
- Astronomy and Space Technologies
- Natural Sciences and Environmental Awareness
- Health and Wellness Technologies
- Educational Technologies
All middle school students studying in Türkiye and abroad can participate in the competition. Competitors may participate in teams of up to 6 people. (This figure does not include the consultant.)
The evaluation stages of the competition are as follows:
- Project Preliminary Evaluation Report
- Project Presentation (Semi-Final)
- Prototype and Final Presentation
Templates for the reports that competitors must prepare will be announced on the TEKNOFEST website at a later date.
The Middle School Competition offers a powerful learning and experience platform that aims to foster students' interest in science and technology, boost their self-confidence, and inspire them to become the scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs of the future.
