Turkey to Develop Its Own Artificial Intelligence Applications with Action Based Turkish Big Language Model Competition!
Within the scope of TEKNOFEST Istanbul, the Action Based Turkish Big Language Model Competition, organized jointly by TÜBİTAK, T3 Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, will reveal Turkey's rising power in the field of artificial intelligence. The competition, which aims to produce national solutions with artificial intelligence and to improve the Turkish capabilities of artificial intelligence models, aims to improve Turkey's human resources in this field, to increase the knowledge of researchers and entrepreneurs and to encourage innovative approaches in Turkish language model development.

Only participants residing in Turkey will be able to apply as a team to the competition, where projects will be developed to show that our country can compete internationally in this strategic area. Teams can consist of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 people, and each team must appoint a captain. The participant profile is quite broad; teams of many different demographics can apply to the competition, from undergraduate and graduate students to graduates, researchers to entrepreneurs, company employees to R&D teams.
The competition will be carried out in two phases, first the “Preliminary Evaluation Phase” and then the “Application Development Phase”. Participants will demonstrate their technical skills and contribute to Turkish language technologies while trying to fulfill the tasks given with large language models.
The winning teams will receive a cash prize of 150 thousand TL for the first prize, 120 thousand TL for the second prize and 100 thousand TL for the third prize, while GPU support will be provided to the winning teams to continue their projects. With a deadline of June 20, the competition invites all teams who want to have their say on the future of artificial intelligence in Turkey.
