Balıkesir University TEKNOFEST Student Community: Youth Designing the Future
Under the roof of Balıkesir University, we bring together all our students who are passionate about technology and the excitement of production under the banner of the ""National Technology Initiative"" (Milli Teknoloji Hamlesi). Our community is an active organization that brings the dynamism of the Turkey Technology Team (T3) Foundation and TEKNOFEST—the world's largest technology festival—to our campus, focusing on social and personal competencies alongside technical development.

For us, technology is not just a tool; it is the key to social transformation. Our primary goal is to raise not only technically skilled engineering candidates but also visionary individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit, commitment to ethical values, and an innovative perspective. By supporting our project development processes with volunteerism, training, and social responsibility projects, we ensure our members graduate as well-rounded leaders.
Our Projects and the Thrill of Competition
Every year, we proudly represent our university in national and international arenas, focusing on the technologies of the future with our interdisciplinary teams. Projects carried out under the guidance of our academic advisors provide our students with critical competencies such as turning theoretical knowledge into practice, crisis management, and team spirit.
A Knowledge Bridge Between Generations: Mentorship and Volunteering
We believe that development multiplies when shared. Therefore, we do not limit our impact to the university level; we also guide our younger brothers and sisters at the high school and middle school levels. In collaboration with the T3 Foundation, we serve as mentors at Deneyap Technology Workshops, accompanying young talents on their TEKNOFEST journeys. In this process, our members reinforce their knowledge by teaching while experiencing the pride of contributing to society.
Social Responsibility and Polyphony
Our community is a massive synergy center open to all departments, from engineering to social sciences, medicine to educational sciences. We believe that the most powerful innovations are born when different disciplines come together. With the active participation of T3 Foundation scholars and volunteers, we contribute to the campus culture by organizing a wide range of events, from technology seminars to workshops.
