AquaVision was founded in 2023 and consists of seven members from different academic fields, including Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Computer Science, under the guidance of our supervisor. Our shared passion for innovation and sustainability brought us together to tackle one of the most pressing environmental challenges: flood management in urban and rural areas through advanced simulations and artificial intelligence.
The idea to form a team officially emerged from discussions on the increasing impact of floods due to climate change and rapid urbanization. Our inspiration struck during a seminar on AI-driven environmental monitoring, where we explored how technology could be leveraged to develop early warning systems and predictive flood models. This motivated us to collaborate and design a solution that enhances flood preparedness and mitigation efforts. Each team member brings a unique skill set—some specialize in data analysis and artificial intelligence, while others focus on hydrodynamic modeling and infrastructure resilience. With guidance from our supervisor, we are combining our expertise to develop AI-powered flood simulation tools that aid in risk assessment, real-time monitoring, and sustainable urban planning.
