The "Blue Homeland Essay Competition" is being held as part of the TEKNOFEST Technology Competitions.
The Blue Homeland Essay Competition aims to help young generations understand Turkey's sovereign rights over maritime jurisdictions, national security policies, and geopolitical vision, and to express their thoughts on this subject from a scientific, critical, and creative perspective.
As part of the competition, participants at the high school, undergraduate, and graduate levels are expected to prepare an original article of 500–1000 words on the theme of the Blue Homeland. This length allows for an in-depth examination of the topic and a detailed presentation of their ideas.
The articles will be shared on NSosyal, Turkey's local social media platform, to reach a wider audience. Successful participants will be eligible to participate in the TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland Festival, held on August 28–29.
This competition aims to strengthen research and critical thinking skills in high school students and academic analysis and scientific approaches at university and higher education levels. Thus, the Blue Homeland awareness will take root not only in today's but also in future generations, and will contribute to the strengthening of our country's vision for the seas.
