Born in Batman in 1984, Yahya Akıl graduated from Yıldız Technical University, Department of Electrical Engineering. After completing his master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Batman University, he completed his doctorate at Yıldız Technical University and continued his academic career in this field.
Starting his professional career in the private sector, Akıl worked at Avea İletişim Hizmetleri A.Ş. between 2011 and 2015, and at Nokia Networks between 2015 and 2020. He took active responsibility in the planning, optimization, and performance management processes of mobile communication systems. The field experience he gained during this period directly reflected on his academic studies and enabled him to develop an application-oriented area of expertise.
Serving at Dicle University Vocational School of Technical Sciences since 2020, Akıl focuses his studies on energy systems, microgrids, and artificial intelligence-based analysis methods. He produces national and international publications in these fields, conducts R&D projects, and provides technical consultancy activities in the field of engineering.
As a TEKNOFEST Advisory Board member, he takes an active role in the evaluation and direction processes of engineering projects; and contributes to technology production processes by guiding student teams through his role as a mentor and academic advisor. Akıl is married and a father of three.
