Born in 1990, Assistant Professor Kadir Özbek completed his doctoral education in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Before stepping into his academic career, he gained extensive field, entrepreneurship, and engineering experience by providing mechanical installation project, implementation, and consultancy services within his own company for 9 years. Afterward, he transitioned to academia and began continuing his studies at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University.

Conducting research on energy systems, heat transfer, and thermodynamics, Özbek has contributed international patents and utility model applications to the literature. Throughout his academic career, which is focused on innovative engineering solutions and sustainable energy technologies, he has served as an executive and researcher in various TÜBİTAK projects and has undertaken interdisciplinary scientific studies.

His work focuses on mechanical engineering, renewable energy, and technology management. Serving as the T3 Foundation Bolu Provincial Representative and Vice Coordinator of TEKNOFEST and Technology Competitions at his university, Özbek takes an active role in process optimization and the evaluation and guidance processes of innovative engineering projects. He provides advanced academic and technical consultancy to student teams with his commercial field experience and technology-oriented vision.

In addition to his academic and professional work, Özbek takes an active role in non-governmental organizations. In the past, he carried out projects focused on social benefit by holding positions such as President of the Red Crescent Youth Branches. Displaying a well-rounded profile in the fields of nature and communication as well, he undertook the founding membership of the Zeytinburnu Scout Club and served on the Foreign Relations Board and International Secretariat of the Scouting and Guiding Federation of Türkiye (TİF). Özbek, who is currently a 2-bead trainer scout leader and a licensed amateur radio operator with the call sign "TA1IKO", is married and a father of two.
