The Secure Satellite Communication Competition, which will be organized for the first time this year, is being implemented under the leadership of ASELSAN within the scope of TEKNOFEST 2025. The competition is designed to be open to high school and university students who develop original ideas to ensure the cyber security of satellite communication systems, which form the basis of the global communication infrastructure.
From Young Minds to a Secure Future
The competition, which aims to develop feasible and innovative solutions against the increasing cyber threats to satellite systems, aims to improve the solution-oriented thinking skills of young individuals against technology and security-based problems. Satellite communication, which is indispensable especially in times of disasters, rural areas and strategic communication areas, is among the critical infrastructures that need to be protected both in terms of national security and individual data security.
This competition aims to help students develop not only their technical knowledge and skills, but also their competencies such as analytical thinking, strategic planning and teamwork. The awards awaiting the winners of the competition, for which the deadline for application is May 30, 2025, are as follows: the first prize winner in the high school category will receive 80 thousand TL, the second prize winner will receive 70 thousand TL, the third prize winner will receive 60 thousand TL, and the first prize winner in the university and above category will receive 100 thousand TL, the second prize winner will receive 90 thousand TL, and the third prize winner will receive 80 thousand TL.
