TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland Has Opened Its Doors!
This special event, held for the first time at the Istanbul Naval Shipyard Command, officially kicked off with the opening ceremony on August 28.
The event began with inspiring opening speeches by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and TEKNOFEST Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar. The ceremony was also attended by Emine Erdoğan and Rear Admiral Mehmet Emre Sezenler. During the event, the President performed a symbolic welding on Turkey’s national pride, the National Aircraft Carrier, and highlighted the maritime heritage in a ceremony held aboard the Savarona yacht.

Visitors had the opportunity to explore some of the most distinguished vessels of the Turkish Navy, including TCG Anadolu, TCG İstanbul, TCG Burgazada, TCG Oruçreis, TCG Nusret, TCG Sakarya, and TCG Hızırreis. Thrilling performances by the SAT and SAS Commands, the Blue Homeland Time Tunnel, virtual reality zones, conferences, and exhibitions drew great interest.
The innovative projects developed by young engineers also attracted attention. The Unmanned Underwater Systems Competition, Underwater Rocket Competition, and Unmanned Surface Vehicle Competition shed light on the future of maritime technologies.
TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland will be open to the public on August 29, 30, and 31.
Visits will be organized in three separate sessions: 09:00–12:00, 12:00–15:00, and 15:00–18:00. For safety and organizational reasons, each visitor is allowed to attend only one session. Access to the Turkish Navy’s main vessels will be available through prior reservation, ensuring that visitors enjoy a safe and well-planned experience.
