To improve is to change. Our team’s story started as an initiative to improve our academic skills while giving back to the society. Leaving us a legacy we are proud of.
After exploring various ideas, we decided to apply an AI-driven approach to address challenges faced by individuals with impaired hearing who rely on sign language. As students ourselves, we feel encouraged to help other fellow learners in their journey.
We got inspired of course, multiple times, but one really sticks out. Once we had a meeting, and a team member mentioned a small project she did on a summer course that required her to translate hand gestures into drawings and so the initiative started.
Our team’s story started long before the project itself, we met during orientation, and all of us kept in touch ever since.
