Team Foxtrot, from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI), is a multi-disciplinary team of students from Pakistan all focused on a common goal: to make fully autonomous aircrafts and compete with the best in the world. Founded in 2018, the team has been actively competing in national and international competitions including the SUAS Competition in the US, the IMechE UAS Challenge in the UK and its counterpart in Pakistan.
The team is organized into technical and non-technical sub-teams:
- Design team creates the UAV’s CAD model based on competition requirements.
- Automation team handles electronics and system automation.
- Software team develops and deploys AI models for object detection software.
- Fabrication team transforms the design into a working UAV.
- Documentation team compiles technical reports for competition submissions.
- Media team manages outreach, sponsorships, and public engagement to expand the team's presence.
