This project aims to preserve and celebrate the cultural heritage of Northern Cyprus by leveraging digital technology. As part of the digitalization of Local Culture and Gastronomy, the initiative addresses the risk of losing traditional recipes, historical anecdotes, and unique crafts of the region. The solution involves developing a mobile app that encourages older Cypriot citizens to share their knowledge of traditional recipes, stories, and handcrafted arts. The app integrates AI-powered systems for categorizing and moderating submissions, ensuring the content is well-organized and relevant. Additionally, the collected data will be translated and shared globally via a website, promoting cross-cultural appreciation and making Cypriot heritage accessible to a wider audience. By combining technology with cultural preservation, this project seeks to bridge generational and cultural divides, safeguarding Northern Cyprus' intangible heritage while inspiring global admiration for its traditions.
