The Sakarya University TEKNOFEST Community organized a multifaceted trip to Konya within the scope of UNIDES, standing out with both its technical depth and cultural texture.

During the technical segment of the program, community members visited the Kalyon Karapınar Solar Power Plant (GES), located in the Karapınar district, a designated Energy Specialized Industrial Zone. As the largest solar power plant in Türkiye and Europe, and one of the few largest in the world, the massive facility offered students a unique opportunity to examine renewable energy technologies, investment frameworks, and the environmental and economic benefits provided to the country.

Visiting the Konya Science Center and the Mevlana Turbesi under the hospitality of the Konya Student TEKNOFEST Community, the participants experienced the engaging world of science while soaking in the historical and spiritual atmosphere of the city.
