A comprehensive transportation plan has been created to ensure safe, comfortable, and easy access for visitors attending TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland, scheduled for August 20–23, 2026, at the Gölcük Naval Shipyard Command. Designed with the physical conditions of the event venue and the expected visitor density in mind, the plan highlights free maritime transport, shuttle buses, and designated parking areas.

Festival excitement will begin at sea

One of the most notable transportation alternatives for TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland will be the sea route. Visitors will be able to cross the Körfez to reach Gölcük using free ferry services operating between designated piers (İzmit Pier – Kavaklı/Gölcük Pier, Tütünçiftlik Pier – Değirmendere Pier, and Derince Pier – Kavaklı Pier).

Free round-trip ferry services between İzmit and Gölcük will run every 30 minutes throughout the festival. The first departure from İzmit to Gölcük will be at 08:15 AM, while return trips from Gölcük to İzmit will start at 10:00 AM. Taking approximately 30 minutes, this sea journey will offer visitors an enjoyable trip accompanied by Körfez views and fresh sea air before arriving at the festival venue.

Another maritime alternative will be the Tütünçiftlik–Derince–Gölcük route. Serving with round-trip voyages, this route will allow visitors to reach Gölcük by sea from Tütünçiftlik and Derince. Thus, the festival excitement of TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland will begin right on the way to Gölcük.
